This page provides contact details of various conservation organisations you may wish to contact with your concern.

How contacting conservation organisations can help. Today, with the widespread concerns about the future of the countryside, mineral operators are taking great care to minimise the impact of their operations on the rural environment and local communities. Most have environmental codes of practice and liaise with local authorities aiming to ensure that the operations are as acceptable as possible in these sensitive areas. These codes of practice are often imposed by the local authority when planning permission is granted. Inevitably though, conflicting views prevail about many of these issues. That said by providing these links we encourage you to inform, enquire or otherwise engage with as many of the conservation bodies as possible.

Enraged are concerned that while the 're-instatement' plans provide [arguably] diverse enhanced alternative bio-diverse landscapes, these are by their nature artificial and justification no compensation for the damage already deployed on the site or that which will occur by the destruction of established hedgerows and woodlands.
